Job Summary:
This position is responsible for processing planning applications and assisting customers seeking planning approvals. Work may include the review of planning applications for consistency with the County’s Comprehensive Plan and land development regulations such as variances, lot splits lot line deviations, density exceptions, sign permits and other planning related permits. Position may require public speaking and presentations to the public, boards, and committees. Preparation of reports, and maintaining complete and accurate project records, and performing related work is required. Position assists with impact fees and concurrency requirements. The position requires exceptional customer service skills.
May be required to assist with emergency support functions in the event of a declared emergency and/or any other emergency duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications:
Any equivalent combination of education, training and experience may be considered. Requires Bachelor’s Degree in Urban and Regional Planning, Public Administration, Landscape Architecture, Engineering or closed related field.
Requires two years of related experience (relevant experience should relate to Land Use Planning, Public Administration, Natural Sciences, or related field).
May require a valid Florida driver's license.
