Job Summary:
Performs customer service and maintenance duties in support of daily County landfill operations. The position is responsible for greeting and assisting customers, inspecting and weighing waste deliveries, maintaining daily records, and performing other tasks as assigned. This position requires work involving standing or walking for most of the time, exerting up to 50 pounds of force on a regular basis, and considerable dexterity in operating equipment. The position is exposed to extreme heat/cold, wet or humid conditions, bright/dim lights, dust or pollen, intense noise levels, vibration, fumes or noxious odors, moving mechanical parts, disease/pathogens, traffic, animals/wildlife, explosives, toxic or caustic chemicals.
This position may be required to assist with emergency support functions in the event of a declared emergency and/or any other emergency duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications:
Any equivalent combination of education, training and experience may be considered. Requires High School Diploma or GED. Requires valid Florida Driver’s license. Requires Hazwoper certification and Spotter certification within six (6) months of employment.
