Job Summary:
The essential function of the position within the organization is to operate light and heavy equipment in the operation, maintenance and/or construction of County roads, grounds and infrastructure. The position is responsible for operating equipment, inspecting and maintaining equipment, and performing related work as assigned. The position works under direct supervision according to set procedures.
This position shall be required to assist with emergency support functions in the event of a declared emergency and/or any other emergency duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications:
Any equivalent combination of education, training and experience may be considered. Requires high school diploma, GED, or vocational training.
Requires one year (1) of related experience.
Requires a valid Florida class B or higher CDL within six (6) months of date of hire. Applicant MUST have a valid driver's license and CLP (Commercial Learners Permit) prior to offer of employment. The County will provide all necessary training for employee to obtain CDL.
