Job Summary:
The essential function of the position within the organization is to operate a truck and mosquito pesticide spray unit at night to help manage problem mosquito populations in Lake County. The position is responsible for driving a spray truck and operating spray system to apply pesticides, maintaining assigned vehicles and equipment, providing customer assistance and information, maintaining routine work records, and performing related tasks as assigned. The position works under direct supervision according to set procedures.
This position may be required to assist with emergency support functions in the event of a declared emergency and/or any other emergency duties as assigned.
THIS IS A PART-TIME, SEASONAL POSITION. MUST BE COMFORTABLE WITH DRIVING AT NIGHT AS TREATMENT HOURS MAY VARY BETWEEN 7:00 P.M. AND 12:00 A.M.

Minimum Qualifications:
Any equivalent combination of education, training and experience may be considered. Requires a High School Diploma or GED and a valid Florida Class "E" Driver's License.
Preference will be given to applicants with experience in arthropod control or pesticide application.
