Job Summary:
The essential function of the position within the organization is to assist in the direction and administration of operations of the County’s transit system. The position is responsible for planning, supervising and coordinating operations of the County’s Public Transportation program including Fixed Route and Paratransit services. Responsible for evaluating the system’s operational and transit needs and recommending and implementing improvements in services. Provides support to the Office of Transit Services’ Director in preparing the annual budget, including allocations for federal and state funding and administration of grants.
This position shall be required to assist with emergency support functions in the event of a declared emergency and/or any other emergency duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications:
Any equivalent combination of education, training and experience may be considered. Requires a Bachelor’s Degree in Transportation Planning, Public Administration, Business Administration or a related field and five (5) years related experience with knowledge of Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) and its applications to public transportation. Requires experience in public sector fleet operation and management. Requires a valid Florida Class “E” driver’s license.
