Job Summary:

The essential function of the position within the organization is to assist the Fleet Management Director by coordinating between County departments and agencies the planned, programmed, and emergency maintenance of County fleet and equipment as assigned to the Office of Fleet Management. The position will utilize a computerized Maintenance Management System (MMS) which include tracking and coordinating for vehicle maintenance, fuel facilities, and generators, and other assets. The position will also coordinate and keep records for ordering parts, repair histories, contract management, invoicing and payment and purchasing records, and vehicle disposal.

The position is responsible for coordinating Departmental requirements for compliance with existing regulations, and permits, maintaining project records and preparing project reports and documentation, performing related administrative tasks, and providing professional and courteous customer service at all times. The position works under general supervision independently developing work methods and sequences. The position will be responsible for customer service and coordination and assisting the Fleet Management Director by responding to customer and vendor phone calls, emails, and other duties necessary for excellent Fleet Operational efficiency. This position will be the central location for work order processing and customer communication. This position will also assist the Fleet Management Director by handling other duties as assigned including paperwork for new hires, annual reviews disciplinary actions, and travel requests.

This position shall be required to assist with emergency support functions in the event of a declared emergency and/or any other emergency duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications:

Any equivalent combination of education, training and experience may be considered. Require Associates degree in business or other related subjects with three (3) years of related experience in any of financial, contracts, record keeping, or related work. Prefer experience in Fleet operational needs and requirements.

Requires a valid Florida Driver’s license.
