Job Summary:
The essential function of the position within the organization is to manage an assigned regional library branch of the Lake County Library System. The position is responsible for supervising staff, planning and implementing programs and services, promoting programs and services to the public, supervising and participating in professional library functions -- including collection development and maintenance, circulation, adult services and children’s services -- and performing related administrative and clerical tasks. The position works independently, reporting major activities through periodic meetings.
This position may be required to assist with emergency support functions in the event of a declared emergency and/or any other emergency duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications:
Any equivalent combination of education, training and experience may be considered. Requires a master’s degree in library science from a college or university accredited by the American Library Association.
Requires valid Florida Driver’s license.
Requires four years of related experience, at least three of which have been in a supervisory capacity.
