Job Summary:
The essential function of the position within the organization is to perform routine to moderately complex technical duties supporting efforts to protect the natural resources of Lake County. The position is responsible for performing various technical sampling, analysis/identification (water and/or aquatic plants/mosquito species) and reporting in assigned area, preparing accurate records and reports, maintaining equipment and instrumentation, assisting with special project and programs, providing information and assistance to the public, calibrating and maintaining equipment, preparing chemical reagents/applying chemical treatments, and performing other tasks as required. The position works under general supervision according to some procedures; decides how and when to complete tasks.
This position shall be required to assist with emergency support functions in the event of a declared emergency and/or any other emergency duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications:
Any equivalent combination of education, training and experience may be considered. Requires high school diploma or GED, and one year of college or vocational school education in Biology, Environmental Technology, Pesticide Application or a closely related field with two (2) years of related experience.
