Job Summary:
Under the supervision of the Lead Public Information Officer, and working closely with the Creative Services Manager/Art Director, the Videographer/Editor performs specialized work in creating engaging, high-quality visual content and digital media to promote County programs, services and activities in accordance with the Lake County Communications goals and objectives. The essential function of the position within the organization is to assist in coordinating and developing content for an effective external communications program for Lake County government. The position is responsible for performing work involving the coordination, production, and dissemination of public information; videos, photographic and multimedia projects; and content for county websites, social media, and printed communications pieces. The position works under general supervision independently developing work methods and sequences, and performs related professional and administrative work as required.
This position shall be required to assist with emergency support functions in the event of a declared emergency and/or any other emergency duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications:
Any equivalent combination of education, training and experience may be considered. Requires an associate degree in photography, cinematography, digital arts, digital media, journalism, communications or a closely related field with two (2) years of related experience. Also requires proficiency in Word, Outlook, Excel, Adobe Creative Suite and/or specialized digital media software.
Requires valid Florida Driver’s license.
Requires a Remote Pilot Certificate from the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) or ability to obtain with 180 days of hire.
