Job Summary:
The Assistant County Attorney II requires a minimum of two (2) years' experience. The position is responsible researching various legal matters, attending committee and board meetings and providing legal advice, drafting ordinances, reviewing contracts, leases and other legal documents, and performing related professional and administrative tasks as required. The position works under general supervision, independently developing work methods and sequences. Anticipated starting salary $92,000.
The Assistant County Attorney III position requires a minimum of five (5) year's experience. The position provides complex and highly responsible legal assistance to County officials and staff. Responsible for researching various legal matters, attending committee and board meetings and providing legal advice, drafting ordinances, reviewing contracts, leases and other legal documents, and performing related professional and administrative tasks as required. The position works independently, reporting major activities through periodic meetings.
Anticipated starting salary: $102,000.

Minimum Qualifications:
Both positions require a Juris Doctorate degree, admission to the Florida Bar, and a valid Florida Driver's License. Experience in land use, public works, procurement and litigation will receive priority consideration.
This position shall be required to assist with emergency support functions in the event of a declared emergency and/or any other emergency duties as assigned.
