Job Summary:
Under limited supervision, assists in maintaining Lake County’s hazardous waste management programs and facilities, as well as Lake County’s facilities and operations. Conducts mobile household hazardous waste collection events; classifies and prepares hazardous waste collections for disposal, etc. This position is responsible for operating complex and specialized heavy equipment, inspecting and maintaining equipment, and performing related work as assigned. The position works under general supervision according to some procedures; decides how and when to complete tasks.
This position shall be required to assist with emergency support functions in the event of a declared emergency and/or any other emergency duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications:
Any equivalent combination of education, training and experience may be considered. Requires high school diploma or GED with three (3) years of related experience.
Requires valid Florida CDL class A driver’s license.
Requires HAZWOPER and Spotter certifications within six (6) months of hire.
