Job Summary:

The essential function of the position within the organization is to plan, manage, coordinate and direct the services and functions of the Road Maintenance, Special Projects and Stormwater Management Sections. The position is responsible for supervising staff, developing and administering annual budget, managing program development and implementation, enforcing floodplain regulations to ensure the safety of the public and their property, coordinating the work of consultants and contractors, and performing related professional, administrative, technical and supervisory work as assigned. The position develops, implements and manages outreach, education and community involvement events related to Stormwater and Environmental Programs. The position works independently, reporting major activities through periodic meetings.

This position may be required to assist with emergency support functions in the event of a declared emergency and/or any other emergency duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications:

Any equivalent combination of education, training and experience may be considered.Requires a bachelor’s degree in environmental engineering, civil engineering, biological science, environmental science or a closely related field.

Requires a valid Florida driver’s license.

Requires six years of progressively responsible related experience.
