Job Summary:
The Budget Coordinator position is an entry level position that provides professional budgeting and accounting knowledge and assistance to County departments in the preparation, analysis, and monitoring of their annual budgets.
Responsible for preparing budget documents for review and adoption, making recommendations regarding budget transactions, reviewing department projects to determine fiscal impact and feasibility, monitoring revenues and expenditures, and preparing related financial analysis, reports and records. The position works independently, reporting major activities to division or department director through conferences and reports. provides professional legal assistance to County officials and staff.
The Senior Budget Coordinator assists in developing, coordinating and maintaining the annual budget for the County. Responsible for performing complex financial analyses of trends or sources of revenue, auditing account, tracking capital or grant projects, preparing and maintaining budgets, financial statements and reports, processing accounts payable and receivable and performing related financial and clerical tasks as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications:
May be required to assist with emergency support functions in the event of a declared emergency and/or any other emergency duties as assigned.
Requires a valid Florida driver's license.
