Questions and Responses
1. Crawl Space/Area – Does Lake County want to include cleaning of the crawl space since it is not included in the original scope of work?
Response: Removal of existing debris and any new debris caused by Contractor’s work shall be included.
2. Wallpaper – Does the Lake County want to remove the paneling and wallpaper and replace with drywall?
Response: No. Contractor to use primer that is appropriate for the application and paint per painting specifications. Repairs shall be made as needed prior to paint to provide an aesthetically pleasing finished product. Contractor may texture with orange peel if needed.
3. What are the specifications for the Kitchen Cabinets? (Wood, laminate, etc.)
Response: Cabinets are being removed for floor replacement and reinstalled. Repairs are included in the scope of work. Repairs shall be completed to match existing. Include an allowance in bid of $1,500. for repair of existing cabinets. If repair exceeds $1,500. Contractor shall provide documentation to verify cost and, if approved by Project Manager, time and material pricing shall be used for costs above allowance.
4. Part of the remediation process is contents pack up, decontamination, sanitation, and storage. Does the Lake County want to add an additional quote for such services?
Response: Contents will be removed by Lake County.
5. Does Lake County provide the permits, or the contractor needs to pull the permits?
Response: Contractor needs to provide permitting as needed.
6. Does Lake County have paint codes for the exact colors they would like on the interior?
Response: What was provided was the paint brand and type. Contractor shall provide samples to Lake County for selection of paint colors.
7. Please clarify, Is there drywall behind the laminate wall board?
Response: Building plans are added to the RFQ.
