During activation of Lake County's Emergency Operations Center, this page will hold key information, such as sandbags and shelter locations, for residents to utilize before, during, and after a storm.

Residents are encouraged to report home or property damage related to the storm event by calling the Citizens’ Information Line (CIL) at 352-253-9999. The CIL will be open until 5 p.m. today. These calls will help Lake County and local municipalities assess community impacts and coordinate resources.
Sandbag operations at Frank Brown Sports Complex in Mount Dora will remain open until 8 p.m. today. The self-service location is not staffed. Bags and shovels are available on site.
ALL OTHER SANDBAG LOCATIONS ARE CLOSED AS OF OCT. 28 AT NOON.

In response to last night’s rain event, Lake County has declared a local state of emergency. The Lake County Emergency Operations Center (EOC) is now at Level 2 – Partial Activation. To assist residents and staff during this time, the Citizens Information Line (CIL) will open at 1 p.m. today. Residents can call (352) 253-9999 to report damage to their home and property. We encourage residents to stay alert, avoid flooded roadways, and follow official updates for road closures and safety information.
