Pricing for 2 Heavy Duty 40 Cubic Yard Compactor Receiver

All prices submitted are to be on the form below in accordance with all terms and conditions set forth in this Request for Quotation. Prices quoted should be in unit of measure shown. Any award resulting from this RFQ will be made to the responsive, responsible vendor which offers the lowest price on an item basis. If award is noted to be made on an aggregate basis, any vendor response that fails to include pricing for all items may be rejected. Per Section 287.05701, Florida Statutes, the County will not request documentation of or consider a vendor's social, political, or ideological interests when determining if the vendor is a responsible vendor.

Prices shall be quoted F.O.B. Destination – inside delivery, freight included and shall be inclusive of all costs. Current and/or anticipated applicable fuel costs should be considered and included in the price quoted.

Delivery of items is to be within 30 days after any purchase order is issued.

Specifications and/or Special Conditions

 

SPECIFICATIONS FOR HEAVY DUTY FORTY (40) CUBIC YARD COMPACTOR RECEIVER CONTAINERS
 
1.      DIMENSIONS: Two-hundred seventy-six inches (276”) long; one hundred inches (100”) wide; one hundred two inches (102”) high.
 
2.      FLOOR: One quarter inch (1/4”) steel plate.
 
3.      UNDERSTRUCTURE: Three inch (3”) structural channel with eighteen inch (18”) centers.
 
4.      RAILS: Six inch by two inch by one-quarter inch (6”x2”x1/4”) structural tubing with solid steel fronts, with four inch by eight inch (4”x8”) fully welded railing supports for twenty-two and one-half foot (22-1/2’) gussets.
 
5.      RAIL ROLLERS: Minimum six inch by four inch (6”x4”) machined casting nose rollers with recessed grease fittings and bull nose support for each roller to withstand abuse.
 
6.      FRONT AND REAR GROUND ROLLERS: Eight inch by eight inch (8”x8”) greasable wheels, one on each corner, rear must be flush with and not extending past the outside width of the container.
 
7.      FRONT WALL: Bottom half shall be one-quarter inch (1/4”) steel and the top half shall be seven (7) gauge steel with two (2) five inch (5”) six point seven (6.7) channel vertical support post and a push plate.
 
8.      PULL HOOK: One and one-quarter inch (1-1/4”) hook with one inch (1”) plate.
 
9.      SIDE WALLS: Bottom half of the side walls shall be one-quarter inch (1/4”) steel and the top half shall be seven (7) gauge steel, tapered construction and fully gusseted at the vertical post.
 
10. REAR DOOR: Seven (7) gauge with four inch by four inch by three-sixteenth inch (4”x4”x3/16”) angle. Compactor opening shall be forty-six inches tall by sixty-five inches wide (46”x65”), centered in the door at the bottom, framed by seven inch by one and one-half inch by three-eighths inch (7”x1-1/2”x3/8”) structural channel to fit over the compactor bezel. Five inch (5”) structural channel shall be used for the vertical framing.
 
11. HINGES: Minimum of three (3) door hinges. Extended hinges are necessary for proper latching when the door is open because of the required seven inch (7”) rear compactor door frame. Triple joint with grease fittings: two inch (2”) flat bar and plate with heavy pipe to accommodate a one inch (1”) hinge pin. 
 
12. DOOR LOCKS: Minimum of three (3) Cam type door locks equipped for operation from the driver’s side of vehicle.
 
13. DOOR GUIDE: Plate with a one inch (1”) solid round guide pin.
 
14. REAR CORNER POST: Ten inch (10”) wide formed channel.
 
15. VERTICAL POST: Minimum five inch (5”) structural channel.
 
16. PAINT:   Containers shall be scraped, ground, and free of sharp edges. All surfaces to be thoroughly cleaned and primed with one coat of Kern-Flash E61A 700 Low V.O.C. primer or equivalent, followed by one coat of forest green or equivalent color paint.
 
17. DECALS:   In compliance with all standard safety regulation.
 
18. DELIVERY: To be made no later than thirty (30) days after issuance of purchase order, by email, to selected vendor.

The vendor selected for award must provide a Certificate of Insurance that clearly complies with the stated insurance requirements prior to issuance of any purchase order. Failure to do so within the requested timeframe (five (5) working days under otherwise noted) may be cause for rejection of that vendor's response.
