Q1. Could the County clarify what is meant by "inside delivery"? Does this require teh awarded vendor to unload the carts and physically move them inside a building?
A1. Inside delivery means inside of the gated Central Drop Off Facility located at 13130 County Landfill Rd., Tavares, FL 32778.
Q2. Does the delivery site at 13130 County Landfill Road have a loading dock?
A2. Yes, there is a loading dock.
Q3. Will the County provide a forklift on-site for unloading, or is the vendor expected to supply one?
A3. County will provide a forkfift for on-site unloading from the rear of the trailer.
Q4. Are there any limitations on how high the carts can be stacked for inside delivery - such as height restrictions for doors, entryways, or staging areas?
A4. No restrictions.
Q5. How frequently does the County anticipate placing truckload orders for carts each year? Will this be a one-time annual order, or should the vendor expect multiple deliveries throughout the year?
A5. The County has no guaranteed estimated orders or quantities.
Q6. Does the County require carts to be assembled and delivered to residential dwellings?
A6. No.
Q7. Price Page in Portal: can the County please provide a separate line item on the pricing page in the portal for unloading and replacement?
A7. County will unload and place carts at delivery.
Q8. It is noted in the County's portal for this RFQ that "delivery of items is to be within 7 days after the purchase order is issued." The containers requested by the County are specialized carts that are always custom manufactured for each specific order and not ready-stock items. It is requested that the County allow each supplier / bidder to provide its proposed lead time as part of its response rather thsn requiring a delivery timeframe. This will enable suppliers to provide realistic and accurate delivery schedules based on the County's specific ordeing requirements.

NOTE: questions submitted asking for exceptions that pertain to the Exhibit B Insurance Requirements and General Terms and Conditions - the County is willing to negoitate if the requested exceptions are within the parameters of Florida Statutes and, only when the award recommendation has been initiated.

All questions for this RFQ must be submitted in writing for answers by close of business October 1, 2026. All answers to questions submitted will be posted to the RFQ in this box.
NOTE: for the delivery - these will be Monday thru Friday between the hours of 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. - RFQ will result in a five (5) year contract.
