Furnish and Deliver Marine Grade Wooden Piles
1.01 SCOPE OF WORK: Provide all labor, materials, equipment, fuel and other incidental costs and supervision necessary for the furnishing, delivery and off-loading of ninety (90) wood piles with eight (8) inch butts for the Lake County Water Authority (LCWA). All materials shall be in strict compliance with the latest codes, standards and practices.
Item specifications to be noted:
· Wood piles must be 8-inch butts
· Minimum treatment: marine .80 pcf CCA
· AWPA rating: UC5C
· Must be marine grade southern yellow pine
· Total price must include freight, delivery, and any associated fees to Lake County Water Authority – 12901 Astatula Landfill Rd, Tavares, FL 32778
o LCWA must be notified of shipping
o LCWA must be notified the day before estimated arrival time to ensure staff are available to receive shipment
o Equipment will be available on-site for receipt of shipment
· Piles Sizes and Counts (all 8-inch butts):
o 16-foot-long piles – Count of twenty (25)
o 20-foot-long piles – Count of forty (40)
o 25-foot-long piles – Count of twenty-five (25)

1.02 SUBMITTALS:
A. Submit product data/specification to the LCWA for review and approval. For any alternative item to be approved it must adhere to, or make better, the item specification parameter as outlined above. Alternative items that fall below the specified parameters will not be considered.
B. Materials shall be inspected by the LCWA for poor quality or damage preventing its intended use. Contractor shall replace any damaged or rejected products at no additional cost to the LCWA. The LCWA’s representative may authorize acceptance of replacement material at no additional cost to the LCWA. |
