Turbidity Curtains for the Parks and Water Resources - LCWA

All prices submitted are to be on the form below in accordance with all terms and conditions set forth in this Request for Quotation. Prices quoted should be in unit of measure shown. Any award resulting from this RFQ will be made to the responsive, responsible vendor which offers the lowest price on an item basis. If award is noted to be made on an aggregate basis, any vendor response that fails to include pricing for all items may be rejected. Per Section 287.05701, Florida Statutes, the County will not request documentation of or consider a vendor's social, political, or ideological interests when determining if the vendor is a responsible vendor.

Prices shall be quoted F.O.B. Destination – inside delivery, freight included and shall be inclusive of all costs. Current and/or anticipated applicable fuel costs should be considered and included in the price quoted.

Delivery of items is to be within 10 days after any purchase order is issued.

Specifications and/or Special Conditions

 

·         Type 3 Heavy Duty (Yellow), Fabric for float and chain pockets 22 oz or greater sq. yd. PVC- coated polyester.

·         Section Lengths: 50 ft.

·         Skirt Depth: Eight (8) FT. Fabric for skirt area, as above, or woven / non-permeable filter fabric.

·         Floatation: 8” to 12” diameter (depending on skirt depth) expanded polystyrene (EPS) foam contained in individually sealed foam pockets.

·         Top Tension: Two (2) 5/16” galvanized steel cable (9800 lb. breaking strength) contained in polyethylene tubes: one (1) above and one (1) below the float.

·         Bottom Tension & Ballast: 3/8” galvanized steel chain (10,600 lb. breaking strength) 1.41 lb./ft. weight

·         End connectors: High-tension-strength aluminum connector at float and top tension cable. ASTM 3/8” stainless steel locking pins. Lacing grommets on reinforced fabric on skirt. Chain ends shackled section-to-section on the type III turbidity curtains. Tool free connections. All corners reinforced with 40 oz. PVC fabric. Aluminum stress plates at bottom corners.

The vendor selected for award must provide a Certificate of Insurance that clearly complies with the stated insurance requirements prior to issuance of any purchase order.
