Job Summary
ASSOCIATE DIRECTOR OF REAL ESTATE SERVICES
The essential function of the position within the organization is to provide assistance to the Director of Real Estate Services with planning, directing, managing, overseeing and coordinate items related to County government real property matters including acquisition and disposal of real property for the County; processing of right-of-way and easements for County purposes, including but not limited to roadway, drainage and utilities; processing of vacation petitions; and other County related real property matters. The position is responsible for assisting in securing lease space for County departments and Constitutional officers, participating in the acquisition and sale of public lands and properties for the County, supervising staff, assisting with the department’s budget, and performing related specialized and general administrative duties as assigned. The position works independently, reporting major activities to the Director and executive level administrators through conferences and reports. This position shall be required to assist with emergency support functions in the event of a declared emergency and/or any other emergency duties as assigned.
Qualifications
The County may consider an equivalent combination of education and experience for selected position postings on a year-for-year basis, provided that the education/experience is in a relevant or related field. Requires a bachelor’s degree in public administration, business, real estate, legal studies or a closely related field with five (5) years of progressively responsible related experience. Requires a valid Florida driver's license.
