ASSISTANT COUNTY ATTORNEY

The Lake County Attorney is accepting applications for an Assistant County Attorney. Applicants must possess a Juris Doctorate degree and must be admitted to the Florida Bar. Candidates with a minimum of two years’ experience in local government law will receive priority consideration. The successful candidate will be responsible for handling a variety of legal matters such as contract drafting and review; procurement issues; development and drafting of ordinances and policies; real estate and land use matters; litigation; and general legal research. Duties will vary based on departmental demand. This position is required to assist with emergency support functions in the event of a declared emergency and/or any other emergency duties as assigned.

Qualifications

A Valid Florida Driver's license is required. Salary for the position will be commensurate with experience.
