ASSOCIATE PLANNER SUPERVISOR

The essential function of the position within the organization is to supervise staff assigned to interpret and assist in administering the County’s zoning ordinance, Land Development Regulations and associated codes and regulations. The position is responsible for ensuring the processing of various permit applications, reading and interpreting legal descriptions and zoning maps, preparing records, reports and recommendations as required. The position requires exceptional customer service skills. The position works under general supervision, independently developing work methods and sequences. This position shall be required to assist with emergency support functions in the event of a declared emergency and/or any other emergency duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Any equivalent combination of education, training and experience may be considered. Associate Degree in Planning, Landscape Architecture, Geography, Public Administration or related field with three (3) years of related experience. Requires a Florida Driver's License.
