ADMINISTRATIVE PROGRAM COORDINATOR

The essential functions of the position are to support Economic Growth, which includes Building Services, Code Enforcement, Office of Economic Development (Elevate Lake), and Planning & Zoning. The position is responsible for supporting oversight of financial operations of the offices within Economic Growth. This includes, but it not limited to analyses of trends, reviewing budgets, financial statements and reports, and performing related financial and clerical tasks as assigned. Provides responsible, confidential, and complex administrative support to the Executive Director. Responsible for coordinating daily administrative activities and operations, attending, and assisting with Board, committee, and staff meetings, and performing related administrative work as required. The position is responsible for assisting with general bookkeeping and financial reporting duties, coordinating processes and procedures between staff, customers and other departments as necessary. The position works independently, reporting major activities to Executive Director and/or to Directors of each respective office when appropriate. This position also works to independently develop work methods and sequences for continual improvement. This position may be required to assist with emergency support functions in the event of a declared emergency and/or any other emergency duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Any equivalent combination of education, training and experience may be considered. Requires Associate degree or the equivalent of two years of college or vocational school education in accounting, finance, office administration, business administration, or a closely related field with five (5) years of progressively responsible related experience. Requires a valid Florida Driver’s License.
