ASSISTANT COUNTY ATTORNEY I

The essential function of the position within the organization is to provide professional legal assistance to County officials and staff. The position is responsible for researching various legal matters, attending committee and board meetings and providing legal advice, drafting ordinances, reviewing contracts, leases and other legal documents, and performing related professional and administrative tasks as required. The position works under general supervision, independently developing work methods and sequences. This position may be required to assist with emergency support functions in the event of a declared emergency and/or any other emergency duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Any equivalent combination of education, training and experience may be considered. Requires a Juris Doctorate degree. Requires a valid Florida driver’s license.
