Job Summary

ASSOCIATE DIRECTOR OF HOUSING AND COMMUNITY SERVICES

The essential function of the position within the organization is to assist with assigned areas of Lake County Housing & Community Services federally funded programs. The position is responsible for supervising assigned staff, assisting with the development of policies and procedures for the various programs including but not limited to the U.S. Department of Housing & Urban Development Housing Choice Voucher Program (HCVP), Community Development Block Grant Programs (CDBG), the State Housing Initiative Program (SHIP) as well as the Emergency Rental Assistance Programs. Coordinates activities, and performs professional duties associated with operations, including performing related professional and administrative tasks, assisting in developing strategies to ensure a network of services to meet the needs of the various councils and community services, and other duties as assigned. This position shall be required to assist with emergency support functions in the event of a declared emergency and/or any other emergency duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Any equivalent combination of education, training, and experience may be considered. Requires a bachelor’s degree in Organizational Management, Business Administration, or another closely related field with five years of progressively responsible related experience. Requires a Florida driver's license.
