ASSOCIATE DIRECTOR OF LIBRARY SERVICES

The essential function of the position within the organization is to assist with assigned area(s) of Lake County Library System administration. The position is responsible for supervising and training assigned staff, assisting with the development of policies and procedures, coordinating activities, and performing professional library duties associated with collection acquisition, cataloging, library automation, and operations, including branch management. The position works independently, reporting major activities through periodic meetings. This position may be required to assist with emergency support functions in the event of a declared emergency and/or any other emergency duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Any equivalent combination of education, training and experience may be considered. Requires a master’s degree in Library Science from a college or university accredited by the American Library Association with five years of progressively responsible related experience. Requires a valid Florida Drivers License.
