Job Summary

AQUATIC PLANT SUPERVISOR

The essential function of the position within the organization is to coordinate, supervise and participate in the management of exotic aquatic plants posing a danger to the County’s native vegetation or interfering with navigation in County waterways. The position is responsible for supervising staff; managing equipment; ensuring compliance with standards, regulations, policies and procedures; providing technical assistance to other County departments, government agencies and the general public, and performing related professional and administrative duties as required. This position may be required to assist with emergency support functions in the event of a declared emergency and/or any other emergency duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Any equivalent combination of education, training and experience may be considered. Requires a bachelor’s degree in Biological Science, Environmental Science, Pest Management or a closely related field with two years of related experience. Requires a Florida Driver's license.
