Job Summary

ASSOCIATE DIRECTOR (VISIT LAKE)

Creates and implement programs that promote Lake County and its facilities as a destination for leisure travel, conferences, sporting events, meetings and special events in order to advance tourism and recreation within the County. The position is responsible for developing, implementing and monitoring the Lake County Tourism Marketing Program, which includes the oversight of all programs associated with the marketing of Lake County as a tourism destination, including the County’s Capital Improvement Grant Program, Event Sponsorship Grant Program and all advertising strategies, both internal and external. The position is responsible for creating, supervising, directing and evaluating all Division goals, staff and budget and performing all related professional and administrative tasks and other duties as assigned. Reports major activities to Director and/or Executive Director, as needed. May be required to assist with emergency support functions in the event of a declared emergency and/or any other emergency duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Any equivalent combination of education, training and experience may be considered. Requires a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or other closely related field with five years of progressively responsible related experience. Requires a Florida driver's license.
