ASSISTANT COUNTY ATTORNEY II

The Assistant County Attorney II provides complex professional legal assistance to County officials and staff. Responsible for providing leadership of subordinate professionals and staff, researching various legal matters, attending committee and board meetings and providing legal advice, drafting ordinances, reviewing contracts, leases and other legal documents, and performing related professional and administrative tasks as required. The position works under general supervision, independently developing work methods and sequences. May be required to assist with emergency support functions in the event of a declared emergency and/or any other emergency duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Requires a Juris Doctorate degree with two (2) years of experience involving Local Government Law, Real Estate and/or Litigation, membership in good standing in the Florida Bar Association, and a valid Florida driver's license.
