ASSISTANT COUNTY ATTORNEY III

The Assistant County Attorney III provides complex and highly responsible legal assistance to County officials and staff. Responsible for supervising subordinate staff, researching various legal matters, attending committee and board meetings and providing legal advice, drafting ordinances, reviewing contracts, leases and other legal documents, and performing related professional and administrative tasks as required. The position works independently, reporting major activities through periodic meetings. May be required to assist with emergency support functions in the event of a declared emergency and/or any other emergency duties as assigned.

Qualifications

The Assistant County Attorney III requires a Juris Doctorate degree with five years’ experience involving Local Government Law, Real Estate and/or Litigation. Requires membership in good standing in the Florida Bar Association. Requires a valid Florida driver's license.
