Job Summary

ASSOCIATE PLANNER

The essential function of the position within the organization is to interpret and assist in administering the County’s zoning ordinance, Land Development Regulations and associated codes and regulations. The position is responsible for processing various permit applications, reading and interpreting legal descriptions and zoning maps, preparing records, reports and recommendations as required. The position requires exceptional customer service skills. The position works under general supervision, independently developing work methods and sequences. This position shall be required to assist with emergency support functions in the event of a declared emergency and/or any other emergency duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Any equivalent combination of education, training and experience may be considered. Requires a high school diploma or GED and four (4) years of customer service related experience. May require a valid Florida Driver's License.
