Job Summary:

The essential function of the position within the organization is to coordinate and manage the operations and construction of the 220-acre Nutrient Reduction Facility operated by the Lake County Water Authority. The position provides management oversight for all phases of construction including planning, estimating, design, permitting, bidding, contracting, construction and closeout. The position will manage and supervise the activities of the operations and Construction. Perform related administrative, technical, and supervisory tasks as assigned. The position is a “Hands On” position which requires the ability to lift, climb and pull. The position works under direct supervision according to set procedures, reporting major activities through periodic meetings. This position requires the ability to work a variety of shifts including days, nights, weekends and holidays.

This position shall be required to assist with emergency support functions in the event of a declared emergency and/or any other emergency duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications:

The County may consider an equivalent combination of education and experience for selected position postings on a year-for-year basis, provided that the education/experience is in a relevant or related field.

Requires high school diploma or GED, and one year of college or vocational school education in Construction Management/Inspection, or a closely related field with seven (7) years of related experience.

Requires a valid Florida driver’s license.

Preference will be given to candidates with experience in a Nutrient Reduction Facility or Water Treatment Facility.
