Job Summary:
The essential function of the position within the organization is to provide management oversight for creating, implementing, and maintaining a Fleet inventory and contracts compliance program. The position oversees inventory tracking, acquiring, maintaining, and disposing of assets, alongside managing repair supplies, forecasting future needs, and analyzing operational costs. The position will also manage the entire lifecycle of county vehicle contracts, equipment, and repair parts, ensuring maximum uptime, cost-efficiency, and safety compliance.
The position works independently, reporting major activities through periodic meetings.
This position shall be required to assist with emergency support functions in the event of a declared emergency and/or any other emergency duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications:
The County may consider an equivalent combination of education and experience for selected position postings on a year-for-year basis, provided that the education/experience is in a relevant or related field.
Requires a bachelor’s degree in public administration or business administration or a closely related filed with eight (8) years of progressively responsible related experience, to include two years supervisory experience.
Requires a valid Florida driver’s license.
