Job Summary:
The essential function of the position within the organization is to assist with managing the operational activities of the Development Review section of the Office of Building Services, to ensure effective and efficient daily operations. This role assists with overseeing the Development Review Technicians, permitting, zoning, financial reporting, coordinating office procedures, training and supporting departmental goals.
The position works independently, but closely with the Development Review Supervisor and reports major activities and updates through periodic administrative meetings.
This position shall be required to assist with emergency support functions in the event of a declared emergency and/or any other emergency duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications:
The County may consider an equivalent combination of education and experience for selected position postings on a year-for-year basis, provided that the education/experience is in a relevant or related field.
Bachelor’s degree in one of the following or a closely related field:
Business Administration, Accounting or Financial Management or closely related field with a minimum of two (2) years of related work experience, in which one (1) year shall be in a leadership role.
Requires a valid Florida Driver’s License.
Must possess the Permit Technician Certification, Permit Specialist Certification, and Zoning Inspector Certification. Equivalent certification may be substituted for a single certificate. If approved by the department director.
