Job Summary:
The essential function of the position within the organization is to perform technical duties as well as provide customer service associated with stormwater/floodplain management issues in unincorporated County areas. The position is responsible for interpreting floodplain, lot-grading, and stormwater regulations, assisting permit applicants with processing procedures, researching and determining flood elevations of parcels, processing floodplain, stormwater, and lot-grading permit requests, maintaining accurate and up-to-date flood management records and databases, and performing related technical and clerical tasks as assigned. The position works under general supervision according to some procedures; decides how and when to complete tasks.
This position shall be required to assist with emergency support functions in the event of a declared emergency and/or any other emergency duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications:
The County may consider an equivalent combination of education and experience for selected position postings on a year-for-year basis, provided that the education/experience is in a relevant, related, or transferrable knowledge area.
Requires an associate’s degree or equivalent of two years college or vocational school in a related field or comparable years of experience and prefer two (2) years of related/transferable experience.
Requires a valid Florida Driver's License.
