Job Summary:
The essential function of the position within the organization is to install, maintain and repair traffic signals and electronic traffic control devices. The position is responsible for performing field work, maintaining work records as required, providing professional and courteous customer service at all times, and assisting with other technical tasks as assigned. The position works under general supervision according to some procedures; decides how and when to complete tasks.
This position shall be required to assist with emergency support functions in the event of a declared emergency and/or any other emergency duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications:
Any equivalent combination of education, training and experience may be considered. Requires high school diploma or GED, and one year of college or vocational school education in electronics, traffic engineering technology or a closely related field with two (2) years of related experience.
Requires a valid Florida driver’s license. Intermediate Maintenance of Traffic Certification and Forklift Certification or the ability to obtain these within six months of date of hire; Level I – IMSA Traffic Signal Technician certification or the ability to obtain certification within six (6) months of date of hire.
