Job Summary:
Performs technical duties as well as provide customer service associated with unincorporated County flood zones. The position is responsible for interpreting floodplain regulations, assisting permit applicants with processing procedures, researching and determining flood elevations of parcels, processing floodplain permit requests, maintaining accurate and up-to-date flood management records and databases, and performing related technical and clerical tasks as assigned.
This position may be required to assist with emergency support functions in the event of a declared emergency and/or any other emergency duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications:
Any equivalent combination of education, training and experience may be considered. Requires an associate’s degree or equivalent of two years college or vocational school in a related field or comparable years of experience and two (2) years of related experience.
Position requires a FEMA Certified Floodplain Manager certificate or the capability of securing the certification within 6 months of hire.
Requires a Florida driver's license.
