Job Summary:

Performs professional, administrative and supervisory work and provides effective library services in area(s) of specialization to the citizens of Lake County. Responsible for supervising and participating in library services and programming, collection development and maintenance, facility organization and maintenance, and community relations, and may be assigned to manage the daily activities of a branch library or assist in managing the library system’s technical equipment and services.

May be required to assist with emergency support functions in the event of a declared emergency and/or any other emergency duties as assigned.


THIS IS A CATALOGER POSITION IN LIBRARY ADMINISTRATION.

Minimum Qualifications:

Any equivalent combination of education, training and experience may be considered. Requires a Master’s Degree in Library Science from an American Library Association accredited College or University with two (2) years of experience of which one has been in a supervisory or lead capacity.

Requires a valid Florida driver's license.

This position performs original and copy cataloging based on current standards, maintains databases, exercises authority control, and provides training and inventory support for the libraries.
