Job Summary:
Plans, coordinates and supervises facility maintenance and repair operations and building alterations. Responsible for supervising staff, evaluating maintenance needs, coordinating operations with County staff and outside contractors as necessary, ensuring the provision of professional customer service by maintenance personnel, and performing related administrative and technical tasks as assigned. The position is a “Hands On” supervisory position which also requires the ability to lift, climb and pull. This position works independently, reporting major activities through periodic meetings. May be required to work nights, holidays and/or weekends.
This position may be required to assist with emergency support functions in the event of a declared emergency and/or any other emergency duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications:
Any equivalent combination of education, training and experience may be considered. Requires High school Diploma or GED, and one year of college in facility maintenance, general construction, or one or more of the building trades. Requires six (6) years of related experience, five (5) of which must have been in a progressively responsible supervisory capacity.
