Subject: Fwd: traffic light
malfunction
Good Morning,
I would like
to report a traffic light that in my opinion is not operating correctly. The
traffic light is located at the intersection of hwy 19 and hwy 27 north about
six miles north of
I
made a left hand turn from HWY 27 North to HWY 19 West on a green arrow and was
T boned by a car traveling south on HWY 27 on the morning of Dec 23, 2007 at
7:30AM. The morning was heavy with fog and visibility was limited to about
100feet. The driver of the other car claimed she had a green light with an
unbiased witness.who confirmed she did. Myself and passanger both claimed there
was a green arrow before we proceeded into the intersection. I realize that you
can't have a north bound left turn green arrow and a south bound green light at
the same time. I also understand electrical equipment and electronics being an
electrical engineer and know that all electrical and mechanical devices are
subject to failure or glitches, If the lights are out of sync or the programming
is off or equipent has failed it should be checked before some one gets hurt
worse then I did. Please feel free to call with your questions. Let me know the
resulkts. Thank you.
Regards,
Ron
